Our trek begins with a hike across the expansive savanna and several uphill trails, leading us to our campsite. The Sembalun trek route offers breathtaking views of the sand savanna through the eastern entrance, making the journey as visually rewarding as it is physically challenging.
On the second day, we will begin our ascent to the peak at 3 AM, aiming to reach the summit three hours before the sunrise at 6 o’clock. This early start allows us to experience the best sunrise over the summit and an unparalleled overview of the island.
Most visitors arrive at Pemenang Port from Bali or the Gili Islands, while others may come via Lombok Airport. No matter your entry point, our package includes transportation to our homestay in Senaru.
Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed at our homestay, where a delightful dinner awaits you. From our outdoor dining area, enjoy breathtaking views and watch playful monkeys in the trees below.
Additionally, you have the option to take a leisurely 20-minute stroll to Tiu Kelep Waterfall, conveniently accessible from the trail right in front of our homestay.
Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a 30-40 minute drive to the national park entrance. Our trek begins at the Sembalun entrance, situated at 1,156 meters above sea level.

By the end of the day, you’ll have trekked through diverse landscapes and climbed significant elevations, reaching the campsite at Pelawangan Sembalun, where you can rest and enjoy the stunning views.
On the second day, we will wake up very early at around 2:30 AM to catch the sunrise from the summit of Mount Rinjani.
This schedule ensures you experience the magnificent sunrise from the summit of Mount Rinjani and provides a smooth return to your onward destination.
